EMC Test, Support and Equipment Test Aids

Our range of test equipment aids has been designed to increase confidence in test application and reduce risk associated with defective or inaccurate test generators.

We design and manufacture bespoke antenna stands and other test support structures specifically to meet the needs of demanding test laboratories.

Designed, manufactured and supported in the UK

Surge-Sense (EN 61000-4-5)

The Surge Sense has been developed with EMC test laboratories in mind to enable a “go / no-go” verification of the surge generator output prior to test. The Surge sense produces an arbitrary pulse length measurement that is dependent upon the surge energy - amplitude and duration, if either of these parameters changes then the pulse length measurement changes. This gives a very quick repeatable check prior to testing and enables simple trend analysis data to be captured.

Trans-Sense (EN 61000-4-4)

The Trans Sense has been developed with EMC test laboratories in mind to enable a “go / no-go” verification of the transient generator output prior to test. The Trans Sense produces an arbitrary relative amplitude measurement that is dependent upon the applied transient level when measuring 15 / 300 ms bursts. This gives a very quick repeatable check prior to testing and enables simple trend analysis data to be captured.

VDips-Sense

The VDips-Sense has been developed with EMC test laboratories in mind to enable a “go / no-go” verification of the Voltage Dip generator output prior to test. The VDips-Sense measures duration of interruptions on the mains supply from 2 ms up to 20 s . This gives a very quick repeatable check to ensure that the generator is operating as intended prior to commencement of test.

CAB1001 Inrush Compensator

The Conformity Assessment Business Model CAB1001 Surge Inrush Compensator enables users to meet the 500A inrush requirement of EN 61000-4-11 irrespective of supply impedance. This is achieved by switching in Live-Neutral capacitance up to 80 µF in 10 µF steps. The capacitance is switched in using a unique staggered and soft switch in, this ensures that any down-line protection devices do not trip due to inrush. Control is by a very simple and easy to use touch screen interface. The CAB1001 contains a dual disconnect that safely removes any stored capacitance from the input and output within 50 ms of supply disconnection.

Probe Stand

Our custom designed probe stand is ideal for mounting radiated immunity probes, sound probes and small cameras. The Hight is fully adjustable and the central pivot allows placement of the probe in the correct position irrespective of EUT dimension constraints.

Heavy Duty Antenna Stands

Our range of precision engineered robust antenna stands are quasi-bespoke and manufactured to the same design but with varying parameters to suit any antenna. We retain an "Old School" precision engineer that will make these to order as required.

EN61000-4-39 Sense and Transmit Coils

With the addition of close proximity magnetic fields to the medical EMC standard, the Conformity Assessment Business has added two sets of coils designed to meet section 6.1 of EN61000-4-39. The transmit coils ship with square test guide plates that have an inset portion to accommodate the sensor coils.

12 Position Relay Monitor for Harsh EM environments

The 12 position relay monitor has been designed with high RF fields in mind. It is in use in several EMC test laboratories in the UK and overseas. It is designed to continuously monitor up to 12 volt free relay contacts.
