Bespoke Projects

Bespoke Jigs and Equipment

We are always happy to take on any specific build. Here is a showcase of just some of the builds we have undertaken. These range from Pneumatic Suction and button press Jigs for testing Vaping products, through to one off high Current LISNs

Designed, manufactured and supported in the UK

Automotive Transients

This is one off design and development of the transient generator specified in JLR Specification JLR -EMC-CS v1.0 Amendment 4. It gives a good reproduction of the required CI 220 and RI 130 transients.

ESD Island Test Jig

For automotive ESD testing. The jig uses precision laser cut copper and CNC cut foam to meet the exact dimensional requirements of ISO 10605 Annex F.

CISPR 32 Training Jig

CISPR 32 Annex C section C.2.2.1 contains a requirement to identify emissions that are intermittent in nature and apply timing criteria to determine if the emission complies with the standard, irrespective of level.

This is a difficult measurement to make and requires the EMC engineer to firstly identify the emission and then to take a series of timing measurements in zero span mode to determine compliance.

To help EMC engineers with this requirement, we have designed a training aid that produces a radiated signal in excess of the limit and operates with three pre-determined "pass" timing sequences and three pre-determined "fail" timing sequences along with a random "pass" and random "fail" mode too.

Ford / JLR Transient Coupling

These are for testing to FORD and JLR specifications for tests RI 130 and RI 150... Built to the exact Ford specification with some very precise aluminium bending and precision CNC cut Delrin cable carriers.

JLR CI250 Timing Jig

This is for JLR-EMC-CS V1.0 Amendment 4 test CI 250. This provides the millisecond / sub millisecond timing pulses over a 60 s period for each of the four required test sequences for the CI 250 immunity to ground offset test. It feeds directly into the "Trigger In" on the arbitrary waveform generator to produce the required transient trigger sequence.

64 A LISN's

We will take on any specific LISN build and have made RTCA DO160, MIL STD 461 and DEF STAN 59-411 LISNS up to 64A.
